simple but fun the first time I ran out of turns and needed to sleep I had no idea what to do though

Once no moves remain you can go to camp via the button in the bottom right. From there you can set the daily rations and then go to sleep by pressing on the campfire! Things can definitely get a bit confusing with no tutorial but the tooltips (on hover on game elements) should help alleviate some of the confusion :)
