I've unlocked three of the endings so far, and I think this game is already fun and has great potential.
Gameplay: 4/5. All the Ren'Py features make it very easy to play this game, and to go back and try to unlock different endings. I didn't like how the game enforced a black-and-white message of "honesty is good, lying is evil". I would have preferred a more nuanced take on morality.
Graphics: 4/5. The graphics were charming, but I would have liked a bit more detail at some points. For example, when talking with the stranger at the wall, it would have been creepy and cool to see a single eyeball staring out at you. Maybe their eye could change color depending on whether you lie to them or tell the truth.
Audio: 3/5. The music is simple. The sound effects are fine.
Polished: 2/5. The game is littered with typos and grammatical mistakes. This normally wouldn't be a huge problem, but for a visual novel it is because text plays a major role in the game.
Theme: 4/5. The game is about exploring an unknown place and involves talking with stranger (unknown people), so it fits the theme well. One issue I have though is that some of the story decisions are inexplicable to the point of seeming random (the pig torture in particular). These seemingly-arbitrary story decisions detracted from my immersion.
Overall: 3/5. If I could give a 3.5 I would have.
