This game has a lot of potential in my opinion. I'd suggest including some kind of timer or progress bar for each of the character's actions. For example, while he's making the cookie dough, there could be some kind of time indicator, more like visual feedback. It would also be cool if he could make the dough while the cookies are baking... something like parallel actions so we don't have to stand still at times. Anyway, I really like what you've got there. Props to the pixel art, which is really cool!
