hey, i read a LOT of books..
but for entirely different reasons, and in entirely different genres to what i read AVNs.
the way i see it is this - would you read Spiderman if it was a novel?
what if the author took out what made spiderman special - the superpowers (analogous to the harem-forming-ability in this genre).
and sure some still might read it, but in a veritable ocean of extremely high quality works, are you really gonna pick up that book? honestly, i dont think 99% of current spiderman fans would have ever even heard of the book if that happened.
