Hello! Welcome to Feedback Quest 8! My name's Hythrain, a co-host and one of the streamers for this event! This feedback is being written live as I stream your game! If you're interested in seeing my live reaction, let me know and I can send you a link to the VOD once it's posted to YouTube!

So my normal approach for any game in these events is simple: I get the game, make sure it's not a virus, then play it with as little information on how to play as possible. This way, I can judge how intuitively someone can figure out the game. Only if it's obvious that I need to read more will I do so. I note this so you can get a sense where some of these feedback comes from. In addition, I want to note that feedback and rating are different; don't use this feedback to gauge what I'll rate, nor should you view my rating as entirely indicative of my feedback.

I love me some puzzles, and this is a cute idea for a puzzle game. There was one puzzle I found particularly challenging, as there was really only one way to do the puzzle; if even one move was off, you couldn't do it. At least that's how it seemed to me.

One thing I'd like to see in this is the ability to go back individual steps. That way, if you make a mistake and realize it then you can go back however many steps you feel like it was when you made the mistake instead of outright starting over.

Similarly, it'd be nice if there was a way to know which way the mole was going to go on its next turn. Sometimes it felt weird the direction the mole went as it didn't seem to prioritize certain types of flowers (for example, I would think the moles would focus on more grown flowers since they'd be more food and probably taste better yet it didn't seem to do this).

The last thing I feel is needed is that when you have a turn where you can't seed, instead of skipping to the harvest turn I'd like it if it required you to do an input. While I'm sure some would disagree, there are times where I found myself forgetting what stages a flower could see in and so I'd put my cursor over what I'd be expecting to seed, only for the controls to go straight to harvest and in my quick action I'd harvest it, forcing me to a restart. Of course, the go back a turn button would also help.

Beyond this, I caught a few bugs. First, the moles are capable of occupying the same tile. I assume this is a bug because it looks weird. Second, if you happen to hit the button to start the level multiple times on a level where there's tutorial, it's causes the game to bug out. When you try to proceed the tutorial, the whole thing breaks apart.

Hey, thank you for the detailed feedback!!
We'd love check out the VOD. please do share a link once you've posted it. :)

We agree that level 8 is currently significantly more difficult than the rest, we'll have to redesign most of the levels I think.

The moles are actually meant to move towards more mature flowers, as you suggested. But I agree that currently they move very unpredictably and something needs to be done about that.

We were not aware of the tutorial level bug you mentioned, thank you for pointing it out!
