Hi.
Finnally tried out your game, seems cool, standard run of the mill for the RPG, in the best way! Taking the quest for the mice in the tavern pulled some good ol'memories of Candlekeep (Baldur's Gate 1).
If I may leave some observations, starting the game using the itch app pulls up a white screen and that's it but, if I start the .exe file on the folder, the game starts normally.
Another situation, I noticed a lot of dragging on the screen as I wondered around the village and its eastern part.
Another unfortunate occurrence was the game crashing, first right at the start when the MC gets out of the coffin/tomb, and another after talking with Father Martin the first time, both times having me had to force close the game. I noticed that your game was pulling over ninety percent of the CPU along with nearly half the RAM.
I have to confess that, despite the good feeling I kept having with the game, these technical complications had me thinking maybe it's best to wait for the next update before trying again (mostly because, as I said, after force closing the game after talking with Father Martin, the autosave was waking up after the first night at the tavern, so...)
The maps seem good, and so does the several characters (funny thing, as I read the second list of villagers to meet, I "read" that one of them was a "John the butcher"... and I couldn't find the dude. A pair of houses were locked, I thought maybe that was a bug. But, then, when the quest goal became to return to the elder, I was thinking that it skipped the fact I hadn't met the butcher.... And it was only as I was reading the dialogue with the elder that I realized that it wasn't the butcher but the butler! Ooops...). The plot seems ok too, but I can't say much more due to the short ammount of time I've had discovering the game. You definitely seem to be on the right track for a solid indie RPG, which by itself is noteworthy!
I've got to mention that I noticed plenty of typos, but it's cool, none I noticed that made it impossible to understand, lol.
I wish you the best of luck, and that you'll enjoy bringing this project to completion.
Cheers!
