I need help with the B7 Maze. The one with the

X→O (red)

O→X (blue)

I've been going around and around, and I have zero idea what is the idea behind it. I can tell that the red arrow definitely leads the right way, but the blue one, it just guides to nowhere, no next red arrow or even blue one. To add to that, even if you try to find the next red arrow, it doesn't appear you just go in circles. Furthermore, going opposite of the blue arrow, leads nowhere, and for example if the blue arrow points left, and you go up instead it goes nowhere, again and then if you down, then it goes back to the red arrow that points up. You see, there is like absolutely zero chance to move forward and if you do move forward, you do lose your moves leading to the bloodbath. I think that you've way overthought this puzzle. Would have been better to have like the red arrow pointing the right way and the blue arrow pointing the wrong way or advising you to go opposite to where you have to go. To add to that, you cannot also start with the blue arrows since you get only red arrows and even if you try to not follow them there is no path out you are just blocked into following the red arrow. The logic is extremely missing here, what is the point of those arrows, if you don't have the choice or the path to finish.

So can I get some kind of clarification how the hell I am supposed to beat that level and save Arthur's brother? Instead of losing both of them?

  1. First of all, that clue is not related to rescuing Arthur’s brother — it’s just a bonus element. To actually save Arthur’s brother, you can brute force your way through the maze (I’ve seen some patrons literally draw the map by hand, which also works), but the intended route is to obtain the “Someone’s Ring” item from a manual exploration on floor 9 of the Hideout. After spending about a day talking with Arthur and then showing him the ring, he will directly guide you through the maze. If you don’t want to go through all that, you can still bump your way around, figure out the path, and make it within the counter limit.
  2. As for the bonus element, I should apologize — due to a coding mistake (a single missing digit, small but critical), two of the blue arrows were not displaying. That meant it was impossible to actually reach the bonus area even if you deduced everything correctly. As you guessed, the logic is that you simply follow the red arrows, and when a blue arrow appears, you go in the opposite direction. With the missing arrows visible, it would have been solvable.

That said, the bonus is just a collectible — nothing important (no CGs, no characters, just a single line added in the survival notes). Still, I admit the bug was real and I apologize for the confusion. This issue will be fixed in the next update. Since it isn’t a clue tied to the rescue route, please feel free to ignore it for now.
