I love the idea of this game; a 2D retro inspired Zelda II like with quests. Sadly the game doesn't save and there is no download so playing it is kinda annoying as I usually don't play games in long sessions meaning I've played to one point in the (I assume) early game multiple times and the opening is super duper railroady with the player doing the same tutorial missions again and again. You can technically skip these quests but they give you equipment so you'll end out having a harder once you get to the actual game.

Outside of those massive hits against the game I do love it. Some glitches, oversights, and bugs I found: There's an odd glitch where a wolf can be hit against a wall where it will forever fall and allow you do infinitely hit it for one-handed exp. If you go into the inventory and equip something while your character is in front of an item, the item will be picked up. Even though the combat is fun, the skeletons are no threat as if you run up to them and hit them they don't do anything and will just die, archer skels will at least be able to get a hit on you if you're not fast enough and wolves are only easy once you've gotten a hang of the jump timing but ordinary skels are just so easy I've never once seen their attack.

I do hope this will be updated again as I really like the feel and look, the art is particularly lovely. Not sure how I feel about the music though, more annoying than charming... still.

Keep at it devs! Great work so far~ <3

Thank you so much for the detailed feedback and kind words!
We’re aware that saving and skipping the intro/tutorial smoothly is a big quality-of-life feature, and it’s definitely on our list for future updates. Also really appreciate you pointing out the bugs with wolves, skeletons, and inventory pickup — these reports help a ton.

We’re glad you enjoy the art and general feel of the game, even if the music isn’t quite there for you yet — that’s also something we’ll keep in mind as we continue polishing.

Your encouragement really means a lot, and we’ll keep working to make the game better!
