After playing, the game feels fantastic as well! It’s filled with charm and attention to detail. It is impressive how much content the game already has. It was a great pleasure to explore the small yet detailed world of the game and all its variety of actions.
At first, it feels somewhat overwhelming due to the amount of information and the fact that you don’t know what to do. Having a quest or task list could help a new player navigate through all the possibilities. However, it was also an exciting part to learn how things work through trial and error and check what every building does.
I’ve got a message about spoiled meat very soon, before even realising that there was actually some meat in the storage from the start :) Perhaps you can design a basic scenario where you start with a bare minimum of resources and gradually acquire them, allowing the player to learn how to use and store them? However, the spoiled meat didn’t spoil the play at all in the long run, on the contrary. The fact that the game doesn’t penalize you for all the minor mistakes makes the learning process rewarding and engaging.
I like the idea that most assignments involve working through buildings. This is handy. It may become tedious to navigate through everything later in the game. Don’t know. So far, it has been quite interesting.
I wish there were a save game :) Best of luck with your project!
