The visuals are amazing! It took me a while to get used to the controls. I guess we have different preferences in control schemes than I do, since you have the same issue with mine XD. For the jam, I had a similar idea in the beginning, but decided to go in another direction. I love that someone else did a version of Tetris with powers like this. It can be really fun, and the increase of the board was an interesting change.
