Hello! Welcome to Feedback Quest 8! My name's Hythrain, a co-host and one of the streamers for this event! This feedback is being written live as I stream your game! If you're interested in seeing my live reaction, let me know and I can send you a link to the VOD once it's posted to YouTube!

So my normal approach for any game in these events is simple: I get the game, make sure it's not a virus, then play it with as little information on how to play as possible. This way, I can judge how intuitively someone can figure out the game. Only if it's obvious that I need to read more will I do so. I note this so you can get a sense where some of these feedback comes from. In addition, I want to note that feedback and rating are different; don't use this feedback to gauge what I'll rate, nor should you view my rating as entirely indicative of my feedback.

Okay, so... that was an experience. I'm unsure if it was a good one or not, but it was one. Nah, I joke, it was fun.

So while I was able to figure out how to move around, run and jump, figuring out how to fight off enemies turned out to not be immediately obvious. It wasn't until I checked the Help and saw that you had to pick up rocks that I was able to figure out. I think the easiest way to solve this problem is to always spawn the player right beside a rock, and always have something telling to player to pick up said rock. That way, they'll pick it up, see their power lower and realize there's a use for the rock.

The game's visuals are on the basic side but they're charming in their own way, so there's not much I can say there. One thing I noticed was that the game was incredibly quiet; I had to turn my sound up a lot to be able to hear it. Having the default volume a bit higher would be a good idea.

As for the gameplay, while it felt challenging when I didn't know what I was doing, that changed once I knew to grab the rocks. Enemies get stunned for a while to the point where I can easily grab the rock I used and then position myself to throw it again the moment the enemy can be hit again. The boss, however, felt like a more fun challenge as he would often break out of stun very quickly, forcing me to run away and either find another rock or lead him around until I got back to the rock I was out.

With all that said, I encountered a strange bug with moving the camera. When I had a spam bot in my stream chat, I broke full screen to go delete the message. Yet when I returned to full screen, my mouse would no longer stay in the game. On top of that, the camera would turn at half the rate of the mouse moving and stopped when I hit the edges of my screen. This, in turn, limited how I could turn the camera. It wasn't  until I got to the ending that my cursor bound back into the game and I had proper movement again. Just something worth checking.

Also, because the voice for all vocal effects was the same and because every enemy killed would result in a "Yes," my stream considers it canon that all of the people I was murdering with rocks were shouting "Yes!" when I killed them. They were joyous to be leaving this mortal existence. I hope you're happy with yourself. :P

That's all for me! Keep up the great work!

Hey! thanks a lot for playing and for the detailed feedback ....i saw the stream on twitch ....i was so happy that you enjoyed playing the game ....

The sounds in the game are made by my son  ....for both player and enemies, so all sound similar :) .... actually the enemy says "ouch" and "oii" and player says "yes" ....but you are right, it all mixes up in the game.

I really liked this feedback - "always spawn the player right beside a rock, and always have something telling to player to pick up said rock." ....i'll implement it.

Regarding sound, few complained that it was too loud, for many of my games, when using headsets, so from that time i keep it little low at 50% ....and didn't hear any complains till now ...after your feedback now, i think i should keep it at 75% then .....

thanks again :)

What you could do is put in volume controls so players can adjust it themselves. :)

that is a good idea ...thanks!
