I want to create a video game of my own using Godot. How did you make the assets for your game?

(1 edit)

Most of the assets were made using Aseprite, but the CGs I drew in Easy Paint Tool SAI and later converted to 256-colour images using Aseprite. (I also draw high resolution art in Clip Studio Paint, but haven't used it for Lavender specifically.)

For sound effects I usually download sounds off of Freesound.org, but depending on what I can find I sometimes edit it (usually trimming silences or isolating a short snippet from a longer recording) using Audacity where needed. I also use Audacity to convert music formats when needed, but don't typically edit music any further as I'm by no means a musician.

I hope this helps!

Hellooo, thanks so much for the detailed reply! Yes, it was really helpful! I played Lavender a couple of years back and really enjoyed it! Great game :)
