Hello! Welcome to Feedback Quest 8! My name's Hythrain, a co-host and one of the streamers for this event! This feedback is being written live as I stream your game! If you're interested in seeing my live reaction, let me know and I can send you a link to the VOD once it's posted to YouTube!

So my normal approach for any game in these events is simple: I get the game, make sure it's not a virus, then play it with as little information on how to play as possible. This way, I can judge how intuitively someone can figure out the game. Only if it's obvious that I need to read more will I do so. I note this so you can get a sense where some of these feedback comes from. In addition, I want to note that feedback and rating are different; don't use this feedback to gauge what I'll rate, nor should you view my rating as entirely indicative of my feedback.

I'll admit, I was concerned of the type of game this would be due to the generic name. However, it turned out to be a very fun experience, both in gameplay and the comedy it provided.

In terms of visuals, I enjoyed it a lot. The combination of 3D environments with 2D characters is something I'm not used to seeing. The characters are colourful and pop out against their environment, making this a treat to look at while playing.

Sound wise, the sound effects and small voice clips are great. I just wish there was music to accompany it in order to help convey what players should be feeling. I can see this as a game where music really helps highlight certain characteristic (for example, using more goofy music for things like when you see the rat boss to highlight how much of a joke he actually is).

As for gameplay, most of what I saw was good. I wish there was a more active tutorial for teaching about the special skills of weapons and how they'll break after us. Instead of just being told it happens, have a fight play out where you're set up to use it and advised to do so. When you do, the weapon breaks but an enemy you just killed drops that same weapon.

Also, I felt like there were too many weapons dropping for how much combat there was and how many weapons I could carry. This, in turn, made me feel bad about leaving stuff behind. Maybe include some way to utilize these left-behind weapons?

Thank you for playing and for your feedback! I definitely would love to watch the VOD.

I will admit we've been trying to change the name for quite a while and cannot find something we like so it has kept its generic project name for ages now. If you (or anyone else) have suggestions, we're very open; we want to keep "Breakers" in the title as the game is about breaking stuff in a broken world, but are trying to find the perfect word to go in front of it.
