Idk why you have so many down votes but my thoughts resonate with yours. I'd be more inclined to buy a game that has a short demo in order to have a glimpse of the game to see whether it hooks me in or is gripping enough for me (of my standards, not the general as a whole) to purchase it. Especially when money doesn't come easy for me.

While I do understand their sentiments, Amare was originally free before becoming paid. Even so, a "Could you please make a demo, I'd like to try it" after the price increase would have been more conducive than what was said.
