Oh, interesting – you’re actually the first one who said they don’t like the look of the inventory! I’ll definitely keep that in mind and ask around a bit more.

For the font size, I think the best solution will be to let players adjust it themselves. I had it bigger at some point, but in playtests that was seen as too big – so haha, it seems to really depend on preference.

About the background music: would you prefer it to loop constantly, or do you like when a track ends, there’s a short pause, and then a new one starts later? I agree it needs more variety, so I’d love to hear what you prefer there.

As for updates: the next itch version will focus on testing the combat system – that should be ready in the next 1–2 months. After that, I’ll release the finished demo (on, which will include the first questline (or 14 in-game days, if someone decides not to do the quest right away, haha).

I don't mean directly that the inventory looks bad ;) It has a few technical design flaws.

If you let the player adjust the font size, you have to limit that. But then the UI must be able to scale in size if the player takes the maximum font size. This doesn't necessarily make it any easier from a design point of view, instead of directly specifying a balanced design with a comfortable size. As a rule, games use different font sizes for dialogues, tooltips, inventory and buttons, for example. It's better to limit yourself to maybe 3,4 sizes.

Music:

I would prefer the music to continue in the background or start from the beginning. Whereby the music adapts to the location/situation of the game. If the developer wants it to. (more work, of course, but also more variety)

Combat system, nice :) I'm curious!
