I loved this beautiful nugget of atmosphere as well. As I got to the end I was thinking that the only thing missing was having agency during the ending, something like the ending of Shadow of the Colossus, where the conclusion is inevitable but you have to play it out. That your game evoked those thoughts from me is some of the highest praise I can offer.

As I was approaching the ending, I couldn’t decide which I thought was more likely,

Spoilerwhether I was the victim or the murderer.
Again, just a 10/10 for a game jam game.

Thank you! That's actually a better idea than mine. Let the player play the ending too, instead of just narrating it.
