Hello everyone! I’m excited to share the gameplay trailer for my upcoming game, Balladrion. I’m currently working on the playable demo, which will go live next year - tentatively on 23.02.2026.

The game is still in development. I am currently working on core mechanics, visual style, and worldbuilding. A demo is planned in the feature, and the Steam landing page is now live—add it to your wishlist to stay updated!

You wake up in a quiet city with no memory. There’s no guidance — only portals leading to dangerous lands. Fight enemies, choose from random skills, gather loot, mine resources, and uncover the world of Balladrion piece by piece.

Each run offers different upgrades, time-limited events, and unexpected challenges. Silent visions from a mysterious being guide you forward, revealing fragments of your past and purpose.

Balladrion is a humble indie project focused on replayable gameplay and a small, yet meaningful story with an interesting ending.

  • Dynamic enemy generation added with goblins and wolves spawning procedurally for varied gameplay.,
  • Minimap system implemented showing player and enemy icons for better navigation.,
  • Item pickup mechanic created; inventory management and XP progression introduced for character growth.,
  • UI overhaul: health, stamina, XP bars, quest progress, inventory grid, pause and death menus added.,

  • Performance optimized via static lighting, asset cleanup; stable 60 FPS on test hardware; project size reduced.,

  • Advanced Niagara visual effects added for fire and shooting; FPS limit unlocked for smooth gameplay.,
  • Expanded world design with buildings, fences, props, windmills, tavern, and combat dummies for immersion.,
  • Cooldown timer system for abilities and dash; bow shop and forgery systems fully implemented.,
  • Companion mechanics added with passive foxes providing buffs (map reveal, inventory aid).,
  • Inventory auto-expands on upgrade; enemies visible on map; UI and cooldown display bugs fixed.,
  • Health and stamina potions upgradable and maxable.,
  • New stats tracked: deaths, enemies killed, successful runs.,
  • Spawn system revamped: enemies spawn farther away; AI uses chase only; no freezing.,
  • Enemies stop to attack, flash red when hit, have individual pathing; elite enemies added.,
  • Timer and boon systems added for gameplay events; game pause mechanics improved.,
  • Cutscenes and memories system added; quests replaced with map-oriented story events.,
