I started the game a few days ago and fought quite a lot of enemies. but still stuck at level1 and experience seems to be empty. Is it normal?
Yes, it's normal. The protagonist grows stronger not through experience points, but by using SP.

As you progress on your journey, you’ll find an inn. There, you can learn new abilities and skills. Until then, your strength will come from equipment that boosts your stats.
