So the main idea is to defend these flowers from the snails, right? I’m not really sure what I’m working towards though, for example, there isn’t a final “Time survived” or any sort of score at the end.
But I think the core gameplay is good, what I would like to see is less of these temporary “upgrades”, like watering flowers to heal them, cutting down weeds or adding more flowers with butterflies, and more of something that actually feels to me, as a player, as actual progress if that makes sense? A stronger click for example, to have more of an effect on the snails. Or even something to generate more of the currency used.
On that same vein, it would be interesting if more snails appeared over time, to make sure the game doesn’t go on forever, or that different enemies that are faster showed up.
With that out of the way, I really liked the simple art-style, and I agree with others that this could also be a cozy game with the music and all. If that’s the goal, maybe something could be changed to allow the end product to be a garden filled with flowers, and the snails defeated forever, instead of always ending in a game over.
I’m just trying to express how I felt while playing the game, and what I think might’ve been lacking, if what I’ve said doesn’t fit what you want the game to be, feel free to disconsider it! I saw that you made the game in only two days, so I think you did a great job! Don’t take me the wrong way :)
