I am probably missing something, but how do I access the guide during game? Or is it out of the game? I got it through steam. I love the game by the way!

On Steam, you can (quoting a super useful comment):
Right-click from your library, choose Properties, click Local Files and then choose Browse Local Files. Usually the path is like this /Steam/steamapps/common/Royal Alchemist
