Is the Mac version 32-bit or 64-bit? Perils of Apple ending support for 32-bit in Catalina and later, makes it hard to tell what games on itch are viable with my computer. Tried checking the steam version but that appears to be Windows only atm.
64-bit, it should say so in the download instructions but I don't think itch displays those well. I feel your pain; some of my old 32-bit games have become unplayable on newer machines
