Whatever works best for you! I'm not sure what size the pages of your zine are but a pdf so I can print and fold the zine myself would be great! (i have a print template for a quarter-page zine on my "how i made this zine" zine if that's useful)
ok so i hope i’ve added a workable printable pdf version to the zine’s page. the quality may be jank as this zine is so old i think i compiled it in powerpoint like 2-3 computers ago…apologies. the pages are tiny! i think the jank feeds into the overall glitchy aesthetic though, haha. let me know if i’ve succeeded!
ok I have tried to actually make a printable version this time - please lemme know if that’s any better.
i made this zine way long ago - so the file sizes are miniscule - so that’s why they are so fuzzy.
i’m very dense when it comes to origami/crafts in the flesh realm - which is part of why i enjoy digital art so much - so please forgive my foibles when it comes to this stuff!
I really appreciate you taking the time to try again, print versions are hard to figure out! I mess it up all the time myself!
So, one thing I failed to consider when I first asked for a print version is that zines, to be printed, need to have their page count be a multiple of 4, so you would need to add two more pages to your zine (total of 20) so it can work as a print.
Another thing I also failed to consider it's that your zine is very colour heavy so it would take a lot of ink to print! The print version you have right now it's formated as a half-page, so it would make for some fairly big images for each page. (which is not really a issue issue)
In terms of the page order itself, with half pages zines you alternate the page sequence from left to right for each "sheet" (i don't know the best world to use, but your print zine has 9 sheets). So, if the cover is on the left side of the first sheet (like it currently is), in the next sheet, 'page 1' would be on the right side, then on the next sheet, 'page 2' would be on the right side and so on. (hard to explain, but if you can fold two sheets of paper, this will be easier to visualize)
It's probably too much work to work out a print version for this zine specifically, specially considering the files are old and tiny, but if you ever want to make a print version for a future zine, these are the templates I first used when I started figuring out how to make mine.
Sorry for not considering this stuff before, and thank you for all your effort in figuring all this stuff out!
