Even just starting with the setting, the explicit slovakia / poland / central europe mentions and mood overall were great. The dialogue felt wonderfully real and natural too (esp. towards the beginning). The backgrounds just being slightly blurry jpg-noisied irl photos adds so much. This VN looks like I remember my childhood, and should be so nostalgic for anyone our age who grew up in the territories of the former soviet union. (Representing the GDR over here)
Haunt Holy truly feels of its time. In its world, we have the skype mention, and the general air around creepypastas, and the homophobia. And in its characters, of these young girls exploring each other and their conflicting maturing desires for the first time. The first jerk off scene truly makes this into such an important piece of art for girlboys.

And also metatextually, it's really cool how Haunt Holy is just... about itself. About Holy as a creepypasta character, and about the horrors of maturing, and the realities of internet friendship.
