I enjoyed the game! However I didn't enjoy it as much as I thought I would, and I don't comment on games but I loved Ilya enough so I'm here to offer some of my critiques, Whether you take them into ccount or not is alright :3 it is your game afterall.

 Spoilers!

The artstyle of the game is amazing, I love Ilya's and the other character's design. Especially the CGs :D the way it is drawn is so perfect considering the setting. My favorite has to be the one where he looks down at us at one of the bad ends. I get it, he's killing us but he's pretty while doing it xD

The concept of the game has me hooked, the tidbits of the lore and lies Ilya tells us is interesting. I replayed the game from the start for each route, and seeing Ilya's different responses for the same question depending on how much he trusts us: I loved it! Great attention to detail. Further reinforces that Ilya shouldn't be trusted (logically)

However my main "complaint" is that the dialogue for the MC could use some work, and the branching of the choices game too. Getting to some of the endings were hard, simply because it's hard to differentiate if the dialogue we chose was considered "trust" or "suspicious" to Ilya. Some of the choices thoroughly confused me. I thought it was being thoughtful, considerate even, but apparently it is being dismissive of Ilya. And same goes for the opposite. Like the "party" dialogue, I thought it was being rude to him but he just....blushed. Lol. The way the dialogue is written is okay, but I wish it is written more clearly if we are being sweet, dismissive or just downright aggressive towards him, so that it's easier to gauge his trust.

I like Ilya's lore but if the branching of the game for the endings is this confusing, it can be a bit of a turn off in my opinion. But that's just my opinion. I look forward to future updates of the game, because Ilya's lore has piqued my interest.

thank you so much for taking the time to leave such a thoughtful comment!! 🫶 i’m really glad you enjoyed ilya as a character!

i completely understand what you mean about the mc’s dialogue/branching being tricky to read! there is a reason why certain endings are harder to achieve and why the trust/suspicion balance can feel a little ambiguous, especially within the demo, but i definitely want to make sure it’s not frustrating in a way that pulls people out of the experience. by the midpoint checkpoint in the full game, the branching will flow more clearly depending on where the player ended up previously, so hopefully that’ll smooth things out a bit!

if you don’t mind me asking, when you say the mc’s dialogue could use some work, was it more about if it was inconsistent at times or about how the mc’s personality comes across overall? it’d help me get a better sense of what could be improved for future updates!

I'm glad to hear that, makes me more excited for future updates :3

But to answer your question, it's both but specifically more on MC's dialogue being inconsistent! I found that some of the dialogue choices start off being kind and just end up being inconsiderate or rude TT at the end of the same line, which made some of the interactions confusing.

As for how the MC's personality comes across, it was hard to gauge if you are being kind/rude/suspicious, since the dialogue option was confusing and inconsistent— and using Ilya's reaction to gauge MC's personality is unreliable bc he's a liar, his surface reaction could be just cover up to wait for the opportunity. Only realizing what type of MC u were until you get to the store or if Ilya's has done something to you in the truck.

I think I got the captivity ending 5~ times? While trying for different endings because it was hard to distinguish if we were being rude, dismissive or kind to him bc the overall tone of the dialogue option fluctuates between different vibes.

Thank you for hearing me out! :D

ahhh i get what you mean now, thank you for explaining it so clearly!! that definitely helps me see where the confusion is coming from. i’ll definitely take that into consideration going forward, especially with making the tone of mc’s choices more consistent so it’s easier to tell what you’re going for. i do admit some of the responses were intentionally a bit “trick question”-y, but i totally get how that could also end up being frustrating instead of fun. i’m glad you brought it up, because i’ll be keeping that in mind!

np, i sincerely appreciate the feedback 🩷
