So is there more and an ending after the really big growth? Do I just need to play more? I know there are multiple romances, but how does it all wrap up?
Yes, if you are on a romance route they will prompt you to complete the game and have a final confrontation with the antogonist by exceeding maximum Heat. If you do this before completing the romance you get a bad end.
