I love when the myths are sourced from folklore! Is the problem confined to the miller or is there something wrong with the river as well?

Thank you for checking it out!
I intentionally made it in a way that it’s up for interpretation of the GM but in general the miller and his burden is the centre of the myth.
Maybe the miller’s wife drowned in the river because of him and that’s why he carries that burden? Maybe someone else did it, or maybe it was the Lady In White that miller fell in love with and wife killed herself or something like that? There are multiple ways to wire the river to the story, all up to GM and the players.
Same goes with other parts. The burden table is also something that can be used to wire up the story. Why does the miller have a burden of a demon, a witch and a bloodsucker? What is the book and the lady in white burden? Maybe miller used the book to bind these monsters to himself, to protect the realm and his mill?
