So how do you challenge the level 30 boss? Can't seem to get it to work. Or is there a corruption level I haven't reached yet?
Before challenging the mid-boss, you must complete events in town. If you pass a checkpoint in the dungeon, encounter a portal, or notice any changes to the main character, it is a good idea to return to town and check for new event links.
