If you're still trying to get past the general Election for the first time, you probably won't notice anything! :D
This is MOSTLY affecting some scenes that people were using to pursue secret plots, and they were never the only (or best) way to achieve those goals. (Though technically there is still a minor bug in the unlocking but that'll have to wait a while.) While it's still possible to take that route, there are better roads out there.
