My Review

The Good:

I think this game has a decent amount of potential! Mechanics and subject matter could lead to some fun chaotic zaney fun similar to something like Overcooked. So I think you've got something good on your hands here! I saw your latest devlogs so I know you're already thinking about some of the issues I planned on bringing up here. So as of this play test I really like where this game could go! I also think you're presentation of this landing page is waaaaay above the quality I usually see on here! That made me want to play your game so much more!

The critique:

While the game concept is great, there are some things holding it back:

  • The lack of instructions at the beginning lead to some friction at the start where I didn't know what to do.
  • The lack of sound left the world feeling void of any vibe to tell me what the mood is. (Is this casual packing? Is this frantic mayhem?)
  • I personally didn't like the feeling of sprinting with L3, kinda felt awkward running around and holding the stick down.

Overall I can't wait to see where this project goes! Keep up the amazing work!!

Awesome thank you so much for taking the time to play! I took a little time in the landing page for sure, but I know some people that have ITCH pages that look worlds beyond this, I should work on it a little bit more.
- The final game will have a tutorial, which doesn't unfortunately help now, but will help in the future.

- The sound is definitely something I need to touch on sooner rather than later, even just initial room sounds (truck, conveyor, etc.) just to give the game a better immersion.

- The L3 issue is a long fought battle I've had with many hahaha I'm not a huge fan of pressing a button other than the stick for sprinting, but I know players are very divided on that issue, so I'm not sure the easiest fix other than having an optional second button, or button mapping options.

Thank you again for taking the time to play and leave your feedback and kind words!
