I don't know if this is any indication but... at the banner of this itchio page you can see like what it feels like the "protagonists" of the story:
Alon, Thistle, Rune, Max, Burry, Cooper.
SPOILERS!
You can see it again at the fighting scenes of Max's route, where they each have a "moment" to fight and a place in the spotlight (Alon has it at the start, before Max starts heading back to shelter).
I'm not so sure about Teak, I think he's destined to be corrupted and forgotten for now
