Newbies often mix up 'NPC Type' and 'NPC Faction'—but they're totally separate. Check the two lines above an NPC's head: one shows their Type, the other their Faction. If only one line appears, it means no faction (like most 'Warrior' types). Take angels: they usually show 'Angel' twice—first as their Type, second as their Faction. That demon NPC in your screenshot? Her name is Shadow (Type: Demon), but her Faction is 'From Beyond', not the interactable 'Demons' faction.
