And thank you for your comments on the coding 😭😭😭 Honestly all of these features were things I had been DREADING implementing in Godot, and they were such a breeze in Ren'py, it felt like I was finally free of an abusive relationship... (not with Godot, which is a great engine, but with my own mediocre coding skills LMAO) I was like "I can finally make the games I want??? 😭" I still want to work on the presentation in subsequent updates (baby steps...), but I am happy with what I was able to do with this one 😆

Your analysis of the MC and Morgan's relationship is, of course, incredibly on point, as you know LOL the MC being the "star" to Morgan's "satellite" is a perfect way of phrasing it. Still, I'm glad that the MC is still sympathetic. When I was writing the story, I really wanted to write about a troubled marriage in which neither party is "abusive," but the marriage is, nonetheless, "toxic." I think it's quite easy to see how hitting someone/insulting them/abusing them emotionally is toxic and harmful behavior, but I also think that overlooks the "quieter" ways a marriage can start to crack - through lack of communication, coldness, self-centeredness. Through subtle jabs and snappy remarks instead of genuine communication or attempts to solve problems. So I'm glad that the MC still comes off as someone "human" with reasonable flaws and insecurities, since when writing them I did want to write a character that people could understand, even if they had never been in position that was really similar!
And HMMMMM what is happening with Morgan, indeed??? So strange.... what is going on??? 😂 Our husband isn't normally this assertive!!! I am curious what people think 😂 and I hope that the end to the story is satisfying!
