Hey man, this totally rocks! I get being scared to show your work but you at least submitted something and had a great idea with some working mechanics. That's farther than 90% of other developers who join a Jam.
I like the dashing and being able to maneuver around the enemies, I think just a little more balancing with how fast you can attack would add a lot more strategy to a game like this.
With a little more time and polish on everything to make it cohesive as a game this could totally be even better than it already is as a concept.
When your starting out like this, I know how tempting it is to make a super complex roguelike similar to games you probably already like, but as a piece of advice, start SUPER small. Like, extremely. Make sure there's a little game already there, like snake, with a form of challenge so you can add stuff to it to make it more complex later down the line. Who knows, with a small arcade game like that you could make the next mobile hit. It's all about perspective, and looking at your work, you did great man! Keep it up!
