Look, I think I'm capable of liking everything in its own way, but I saw very little charisma in my personal hater. I like short games, yes, but this one being so short and the lack of drama in the writing made it a bit boring for me. I also expected something much darker cuz the guy's smiling in a very creepy way on the game page. I wasn't disappointed by him awkwardly laughing at the protagonist's antics, not at all, but it was one of the few highlights of the game for me. I LIKE black and white games like this, but I think I like it more when there's some ulterior motive. Like, in Blankspace, the game implies that Beryl is colorblind, and in the Copper Eyes comic, only those in love see color, which is a sweet reason. But my personal hater is just black and white because, and I didn't understand 😓 In some games, they also use a third color to highlight, like in Alter Ego, where the important details are in blue, and everything else is in black and white, or in Andy and Leyley, where most of the colors are to differentiate the eye colors (of the protagonists vs. the supporting characters). I think my personal hater was a cute experience, but I found the criticism about the hater being a fan very harsh. I remember the protagonist just flirting with the hater, literally saying he's a fan and not a hater. Writing this, I also realized the game had a lot of potential to become something bigger. Maybe by exploring the hater's obsession better, showing the days passing by and slowly developing a romance between them. For those who like sillier and more comical things, it's alright, but I personally like more complex things.
