We ended up making a game with a similar concept, so really fun to see in which direction you went with it :D

The hitbox for the keys seems to be stuck to the middle of the screen regardless of where the flashlight points, which was a bit confusing.

The flashlight effect on textures was really cool! How did you achieve that? :o

I really liked it, the corridor felt liminal and unsettling which is always good :D

Thanks so much for playing — that’s awesome you made something with a similar idea! I’d love to check yours out too 😄

Yeah, the key hitbox issue was definitely tied to how I set up the flashlight: I used a directional light attached to the camera with a follow script, but there was a slight mismatch between the camera’s position and the mouse look. That caused interactions to register off-center sometimes, which I know made it feel confusing.

Other than that, I didn’t add any special effects — I just made sure the corridor was dark except for the lights I placed, so the flashlight really controlled what you could see.

I’m glad you enjoyed the liminal, unsettling vibe — thanks a lot for the kind words and feedback!
