I don't understand. It seems to me that nothing is happening. I can only turn the light on and off. What am I missing?

Well, it's mentioned in the description. The point is to gather artifacts scattered around the room, while keeping the volume meter low enough, so you won't get chased by the Presence. Then return to the top right corner.
There wasn't a light on/off switch mechanic in the game, so idk how you got to do that
