asdjfalsdkj I checked out Karamu for the first time tonight, really enjoyed it, and immediately had to download this one too. It gave so much insight into Raku and Nelli both, and completely recontextualizes a lot of the first game. They're both such complex characters, especially considering the length of the games, and I want to hug their younger selves so much and tell them that they deserved so much better.
The scene of Nelli locking herself in the bathroom with her game was... painfully realistic, in a good way (actually, that descriptor is true for a lot of the game). And without spoiling too much, that climactic scene was so cathartic.
(minor spoilers) RIP to a certain person in the beginning, though. He was just trying to be a good guy to this random child he met, thinking Raku's problems were normal "kid and parent having minor arguments" issues and not "parental abuse to the extreme" issues. So what he said wasn't exactly helpful in this situation, but he still seemed like a sweet, solid dude. That whole scene was heartbreaking. I can't help but worry about his family, just like Raku.
Anyway! All this to say, this is such a compelling series. I'm looking forward to the third game!
