“VICTORY, YOU MADE IT!”
Wow, those kids were definitely not fans of the music!
This was a fun little bullet hell-style game! I loved the music and the art style. It was nice that each level had its own unique design and assets. I also really appreciated the inclusion of volume controls, so many jam games skip this and end up destroying my ears.
If I were to make any suggestions, I think having enemies with more complex bullet patterns could make the gameplay more engaging. I also found myself wanting to try and beat the game as fast as possible, so a timer feature might be a nice addition.
I did encounter a couple of bugs:
-
During my first playthrough, the kids didn’t throw anything at me. I tried to replicate the bug, but couldn’t. I have no idea what caused it.
-
As others have mentioned, the menu is broken after you die. If you beat the game, the menu works, but the music doesn’t play during a second playthrough.
Great work overall!
