This is a jam game, created within 4 days, while having other obligations. I.e. I only was able to put about 20ish hours in. This is not a finished game.
- Yes, base idea, based on the game jam topic “Loop” is to move on a circle and expand it.
- Yes, The idea of the challenge was to make it more difficult to get more blue. And making this fun challenging.
But during game jam time I was not able to create a perfect balancing. 1. Balancing multiple parameters (scaling, speed, location of creation, …) is difficult as they depend on each other 2. I had several late bugs, which needed my attention. - No, there is not much guidance, as part of the experience is to find out how to better expand. Technically, expanding a spline without messing up is not trivial - this took me time to just be robust.
- Yes, there are seldom occasions when the spawning is too much outside. Combined with a scaling bug it leads to that issue.
- Happy you liked the sound. Which interestingly was the thing I was able to put least time in.
