I agree with the progression feeling too random, we had time to design waves seprately and order them depending on difficulty, however we didn't have time to test further. We weren't able to finetune the succession of waves and the way they are chosen, so if we ever go back to this game it's definitely something we'll look at. One thing worth noting is that some seemingly scary enemy waves can be trivialized by a well-aimed jump out of the web.

It's possible to jump out of the web!?
Of course I understand it's the jam scope that came in the way, in fact I am impressed by the degree of polish.
