The tutorial can be a little overwhelming due to the amount of information presented all at once.
The ghost can actually pass through any block except for the light one. If you find yourself stuck, there is a restart button in the pause menu(button at top right/esc button on keyboard). Sorry if you find it frustrating! (ᗒᗩᗕ)
