Well, it actually reduced our profit by 25-30 percent at the moment. In the short term, it will increase by 50-70 percent. Visa and MasterCard do not understand that they are killing culture and, in principle, have a strong enough impact on it that payment services SHOULD NOT do. So fuck them
I hope that Itch and Steam will find alternatives and some kind of agreement with them, because every year these "wonderful" people force me to abandon their payment systems in favor of local or Chinese ones, like Union Pay or, at the very least, American Express.
For better or worse it seems like Visa and MC are already feeling the hurt, their stocks have seen a fairly large downturn and their clerks are being pushed to the breaking point from all the complaints and calls they've received so far. Would love to switch to Discover or AE, but unfortunately my credit union only uses Visa cards. Guess cash'll be what I use for the most part until a solution's found, that or I'll have to find a new credit union/bank.
