hey so like every time I download my dlc 2 and I open it, it only shows for the dlc instructions nothing else
You shouldn't need to open the DLC files themselves. You want to put the .rpa files into the "game" folder in the larger folder containing Our Life. Where did they end up getting downloaded? Hopefully I can help you get it working!
