The visuals are really stylish, and I like the fusion of board games and RPGs. The looping nature of the board reminds me a lot of Monopoly. (They share some other mechanics as well - the existence of taxes, the get-out-of-jail-free card, even collecting money when you pass Go.)

The game definitely needs more interaction, though. Other than picking items to buy (which is usually an easy decision), it’s entirely clicking one button and waiting. I died on the third boss, but I didn’t feel like it was something I could’ve avoided. It’s also a pretty long game, which can get tedious when you’re not doing much. I like the concept of preparing for a boss as you go around the board, but even just a little bit more player choice in the matter would make the game a lot more fun.
