Well, I know a thing that might be confusing about pair: you have to play that pair exactly. Order does not matter, but do not play the 3d card. This gem was meant to be used on occasion when you have 2 stupid cards that block your combo but on their own they are weak. The "pair gems" compensate that loss.
Anyway, that turned out to be too complex game for us at the moment. Still, I am proud that the prototype hits the card-enjoyers audience. Thank you for the detailed bug-report!
