We had some troubles with building the game as HTML, and one of the bugs was all our cutscenes being black with just the audio in the background. We agree that mechanics could have been better explained upon and more refined but time was a big limit as well as bug fixing. In your instance it seems your character has lost all their sanity (well, who wouldnt being stranded in the middle of the ocean).
