Before I start, I'd like to say that although this isn't my kind of game, I still found it impressive and worthy of a play.
I'm sure there are many different people who would enjoy this game very much. It wasn't personally my cup of tea, but I do still think that it achieved something very impressive for the timespan that it was made in.
I'd have liked to have seen a bit more of the tutorial explained through play, or at least accessible later on, as I found myself restarting the game a few times before I got the hang of everything.
The concept was very clever and well executed, and the way the different species are put together with the 'goo' is interesting.
All in all, I'd say that this fits the theme of this jam 100%, but it just didn't stick for me.
