Yeah, unfortunately we realized the performance issue with the particles a bit too late to fix it. There seems to be a slight issue with the first load of each particle that we might've been able to resolve had we preloaded all of them on launch. Also, we absolutely agree that the difficulty scaling on the levels was a bit too exponential and we realize the game gets a bit unfair towards the last few levels due to the sheer quantity of enemies and difficulty to view them. Nonetheless, thank you so much for giving it a try!
