This is an extremely interesting game concept; I've been on the lookout for the next "balatro" or "inscryption"-esque game and this definitely feels like it could be up there if developed further. Also loved the card art styles.
If you took it further, would love to see art/animation representing the character's journey, some sound effects for placing cards and activating them, and some prettier abilities text on cards - I feel like it could be really fun to play repeatedly. Nicely done!
