Yeah there is a message about RMB camera pan but I guess those can be quite easily missed. The sideways placing mechanic was also somewhat difficult to explain in a short manner.
In that pic, you should be able to place to that spot but only a 4/6 as it also will touch the six side. I guess having more of a visible grid could indeed be nice when you have lots of sideways bones and the bones get "less aligned".
